POSITION SUMMARY
The Chief Information Technology & Security Officer will provide strategic vision and leadership in crafting and executing the organization’s information technology & security strategy and initiatives. They will direct the assessment, decision-making as well as planning and implementation of functional departmental and enterprise IT systems in support of business operations to improve cost effectiveness, service quality, and business development. They will oversee Atlas’ IT and information security infrastructure, fostering innovation and efficiency while ensuring compliance with security standards. This role is accountable for all facets of information security across all departments and locations within Atlas.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Establishes the strategy that meets the business needs, drives an effective return on investment, and ensures security of the company’s information technology systems, and information.
- Oversees IT projects and assignments, and ensures the team operates efficiently. Directs and coordinates professional IT services such as systems analysis and design, feasibility studies, and programming of information, communication, and office automation systems.
- Ensures that Atlas’ information management, technology, and security management program follows all applicable laws, government regulations, and contractual requirements such as those included in the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
- Stays current with technological advancements, economic changes, and company needs by directing ongoing improvements in IT staff, equipment, and procedures.
- Leads the development and maintenance of up-to-date information security, technology, and information management policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines, and oversees their approval, dissemination, and maintenance.
- Orchestrates and approves the purchase, rent, lease, license, or other acquisition of hardware, software, or services needed to meet company needs in a fiscally responsible manner that ensures effective utilization and optimization of software and hardware services.
- Participates and provides effective support and guidance on JV, ASC, and Organizational development projects and organizational initiatives ensuring effective resource utilization, and strategic & operational alignment of information and technology across the enterprise.
- Maintains the integrity and reliability of computerized, communication, and office systems, ensuring the security of acquired and stored data.
- Collaborates with Finance leadership to prepare and effectively execute and manage organizational and departmental budgets working to improve productivity and consumption of resources.
- Oversees incident response planning and execution to ensure prompt and effective mitigation of cyber threats.
- Oversees risk management and security controls to continuously improve the organization’s security framework.
- Partners with executive leadership to ensure the physical infrastructure of Atlas JVs, and ASCs align with security objectives.
- Provides leadership in emergency preparedness, business continuity, and disaster recovery planning.
- Ensures integration of IT and information security functions to maximize operational efficiency and ensure best practices concerning both information and physical security.
- Ensure reliable, secure, and scalable IT/IS systems that meet the current and future needs of Atlas.
- Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree in IT, cybersecurity, computer science, or a related field
- 10 years of senior-level experience in IT or cybersecurity, preferably in a high-growth organization
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess complex security issues and implement solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of information security frameworks, policies, and standards
- Proven supervisory and leadership abilities.
- Experience in cyber incident response management.
- Ability to quickly master and leverage relevant technologies.
- Excellent communication skills across all organizational levels
- Strong risk management and compliance knowledge
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA) preferred.
- Relevant work experience within a Healthcare organization
