JOB TITLE
Communications Manager
POSITION SUMMARY
The Communications Manager will oversee the effective planning, development, and management of strategic communication initiatives that support the organization and partnership goals. This role will work to ensure a positive internal and external image, with a focus on ensuring cohesive messaging across all forms of media. Duties include managing press releases to enhance the company’s image, digital campaigns, print materials, social media, company websites and media relations, company newsletter copy, video and more. A successful candidate will have a strong set of written and verbal skills, a deep understanding of communication strategies, and problem-solving capabilities. Journalism experience a plus.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Lead, manage, and deliver communication projects from initiation through completion. Ensure alignment with organizational objectives and timelines.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to define communication strategies that support business and partner goals. Provide insights on best practices to optimize communication efforts.
- Work closely with health system partners, external public relations company, HR and other internal teams for internal communications, to ensure seamless communication across all channels and consistent messaging.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, track progress, mitigate risks, and report status to senior leadership. Ensure the efficient use of resources and adherence to budgets.
- Oversee the creation and distribution of communications materials (e.g., newsletters, press releases, presentations, social media posts) to ensure quality, consistency, and relevance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to drive communication initiatives forward.
- Establish metrics to evaluate the success of communication programs. Provide reports on campaign performance and adjust strategies as necessary to improve outcomes.
- Support organizational change initiatives by ensuring effective communication during times of transition, driving employee engagement, and fostering a positive company culture.
- Supporting the organization's public relations strategy, including media outreach, press releases, and press conferences. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with media outlets to secure coverage and enhance the company’s public image. Ensure consistent and positive representation in the public eye.
- Oversee the content, functionality, and user experience of the company intranet. Ensure that it serves as an effective communication tool, providing employees with timely, relevant, and engaging internal content. Collaborate with IT and other departments to continuously improve the intranet’s features and usability.
- Monitor industry trends, emerging tools, and technologies, and recommend improvements to current communication practices and tools.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards. Provides all customers with an excellent service experience by consistently demonstrating our core and leader behaviors each and every day.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Business Administration, Journalism or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years or more years of experience in communications, public relations, or related field.
- Experience utilizing HubSpot, Adobe Creative Suite, Full Microsoft Suite of software, Monday.com
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s Degree in Communications or related field
- Healthcare industry experience
- Elevated PowerPoint skills and experience a plus
- WordPress knowledge a plus

The Communications Manager will manage multiple, concurrent communication programs of varying complexity, requiring a high degree of coordination across departments and stakeholders. The role demands the ability to navigate complex organizational dynamics, ensuring that communication initiatives are aligned with business objectives while maintaining consistent messaging across all platforms. The position requires a deep understanding of both strategic planning and tactical execution, with significant responsibility for driving the company’s public relations efforts, including media relations and crisis communication. The role is critical to maintaining the organization’s reputation and ensuring smooth internal and external communication flows in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Compensation: $100,930 - $148,426
