POSITION SUMMARY
The Manager – Corporate Accounting is responsible for overseeing corporate accounting, internal and external audit support as well as assisting month-end close. This position will provide day-to-day oversight of assigned accounting group and champion the implementation of group initiatives, internal controls, and process improvements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assist in implementing accounting policies and procedures to ensure financial transactions are executed according to GAAP principles.
- Assist in external and internal financial reporting processes.
- Provide high-quality customer service to corporate leaders , regarding departmental transactions, and joint venture spend.
- Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with support center leaders.
- Actively involved in the monthly close process including preparation of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, reports and flux analysis. Actively participate in monthly operational reviews for centers as well as Atlas functional leaders.
- Collaborate with key cross-functional stakeholders including Finance, Development, Revenue Cycle and Managed Care.
- Lead and manage multiple development projects supporting Design & Construction and Material Equipment Planning teams with timely transaction tracking and reporting.
- Serve as partner to development and joint venture health system.
- Ensure all payroll, benefits, shared services, and allocation transactions are correctly reflected in the general ledger. Provide fluctuation analysis for monthly operating reviews.
- Manage/prepare other ad hoc reporting, requests, and process improvements as needed in the course of business for assigned areas.
- Manage, develop, train and mentor corporate accounting staff.
- Enhance internal controls environment through oversight and driving accountability.
- Ensure compliance with all accounting and financial regulations, including tax compliance. Keep abreast of changes in accounting standards and make necessary adjustments.
- Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards.
- Provides all customers with an excellent service experience by consistently demonstrating our core and leader behaviors each and every day.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Includes direct supervisory responsibility for assigned corporate accounting staff.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- BS in Accounting/Finance.
- 5+ years in Accounting.
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently with minimal daily direction from management to accomplish objectives and deadlines.
- Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Strong accounting research and problem-solving skills.
- Highly detail-oriented and able to multitask.
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
- Able to operate independently and as part of a larger functional team.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- CPA License preferred.
- Prior healthcare industry experience preferred.
