POSITION SUMMARY

The Integration Materials Manager serves as a strategic leader and resource for future ASC acquisition, syndication, or Denovo ASC sites; serves as the key process owner between ATLAS Procurement, Integration, and Regional Market Leadership and the ASC Client; and completing the due diligence analysis for Supply Chain operations.

  

The position is responsible for providing strategic leadership to the prospective Supply Chain of the ASC Client in all areas relating to Supply Chain, including due diligence, operational readiness, and onboarding; defining tactical objectives and potential process improvement initiatives; executing training and development of prospective Supply Chain staff; and providing analytical review combined with measurement tools to ensure success.  

This position works closely with the Manager of ASC Success for a successful hand off from launch and integration to operation and success.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Provides direction and development support in coordination with the Atlas Procurement leadership to ensure strategic objectives are met along with all key Supply Chain performance metrics.  
  • Develop tools, plans, and templates for tracking and communicating the requirements, plans and progress for Supply Chain integration tasks and activity  
  • Partners with the Atlas Integration team to define the prospective ASC integration list, develop and track a detailed project plan for Supply Chain operations for each new center.  
  • Facilitates regular scheduled meetings to report performance, concerns, training, and improvement plans with key stakeholders.  
  • Delivers initial training and developmental support to Client’s Supply Chain leadership and staff.  
  • Engages with the Client, Regional, and National ATLAS Leadership to meet, and preferably exceed, performance goals.  
  • Participates in and represents ATLAS’ Supply Chain operations in market-based leadership forums, including physician and health system partner meetings.  
  • Challenges the best practices and seeks opportunities to drive process improvements.  
  • Collaborates with on-site resources in service delivery and problem solving to maximize solution offering and client satisfaction.  
  • Participates with providing comprehensive, succinct updates to ATLAS Leadership to drive awareness of any Client support requirements and/or risks that could impact center integration.  
  • Performs other duties as assigned by VP Procurement or Director of Procurement as required to meet the business needs of ATLAS and other stakeholders
  • Other duties as assigned.

SCOPE AND COMPLEXITY

Position has both facility & region responsibility, works under limited supervision using independent judgment to achieve goals. Internal customers are other staff, nurses, physicians, patients, visitors, supervisors, managers and executives. External customers are patients, visitors, vendors, other company facilities, and non-company medical facilities

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ENVIRONMENT FACTORS

OE - Typical Office Environment:

  • Requires extensive sitting with periodic standing and walking.
  • May be required to lift up to 75pounds.
  • Requires significant use of computer, phone and general office equipment.
  • Needs adequate visual acuity, ability to grasp and handle objects.
  • Needs ability to communicate effectively through reading, writing, and speaking in person or on telephone.
  • Will be required to travel to various locations including out of state.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field, or equivalent knowledge and experience
  • Five or more years of experience in Materials Management, with extensive work involving medical/surgical supplies and computerized inventory control
  • Strong leadership, organizational, negotiation, communication, and human relations skills
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and work with department managers, staff, and subordinates
  • For positions in the Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) setting, 2 or more years of supply chain experience in the ASC industry
  • Proficiency with materials management inventory systems and common office software

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two or more years of supervisory/management experience in medical supply
  • Additional related education and/or experience
