The Banner Surgery Center-Sports Medicine is managed by Atlas Healthcare Partners. Located at 7400 N. Dobson Rd in Scottsdale, the surgery center is a newly built facility that is part of a dynamic group of ASCs that stands by providing exceptional care and outstanding customer service to patients in the east valley of Phoenix. The focus of the ASC will be Orthopedics, which can adapt to all specialties and offers six operating rooms and twenty-two pre/post care bays. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Maintains and monitors inventory areas, which includes purchase order processing, receiving of goods, tracking/expediting of orders, updating MMIS system, HST supply/implant entry, and cost-effective PAR levels.
- Assists with the research and implementation of opportunities to improve efficiencies, standardization, and reduce cost.
- Meets with vendors to discuss new product purchases and trials and ensures compliance with contracts.
- Performs monthly review of supplies against General Ledger, Budget, and discrepancies and assures adequate inventory.
- Responsible for maintaining implant and supply entry in HST.
- Coordinates repair of equipment with Instrument Technicians and Biomedical or outside sources when needed.
- Develops and maintains a competent and motivated staff through appropriate selection, training, discipline, feedback, performance management and termination of subordinate personnel as appropriate.
- Develops staff through assessing and managing performance and providing education and training.
- Manages operational function and provides direction and leadership.
- Acts as a role model for organization values and behaviors; communicates mission, vision, and values.
- Works to align department functions and processes that will achieve department goals as well as facility goals in an efficient manner.
- Leads teams, conducts effective meetings, removes barriers, and engages in synergistic problem solving through effective communication, delegation, coaching/counseling, and active listening. - Builds effective relationships. Interacts frequently with facility staff and physicians to provide high quality services.

- Assists in the development and implementation of regional policies, procedures and process for improvements for Materials Management.
- Builds consistencies across region(s) and facilities in work roles, responsibilities and processes.
- Promotes standardization within Materials policies and procedures, with the goal of breaking down the barriers and misconceptions across region facilities materials management departments, achieving a much more unified organization.
- Negotiates agreements amongst end users to coordinate efficient processes and inventory costs.
- Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or a related field, or equivalent knowledge and experience.
- Requires the skills, knowledge and abilities typically acquired through five or more years of Materials Management and related experience which includes extensive work with of medical/surgical supplies & computerized inventory control.
- Effective leadership, organizational, negotiation, communication and human relations skills are necessary as the incumbent will be coordinating several projects simultaneously and working closely with department managers and all levels of staff and subordinates.
- For positions in the Ambulatory Surgery Center setting 2 or more years of supply chain experience in the Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) industry is required.
Must be able to work effectively with the materials management inventory system and all common office software.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Two or more years of supervisory/management experience in medical supply is preferred. Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
