POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Benefits Administrator will provide expert advice in the development, management and shaping of Atlas Healthcare benefits offerings, ensuring system integrity and maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards (state and federal). This position understands that educating employees on the benefits offers is a priority as well as system configuration to ensure a seamless end user experience with the enrollment and updating process.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Benefits Program Oversight:
- Serve as a subject matter expert on all aspects of benefits administration, including health, retirement, wellness, and ancillary programs. Driving educational opportunities for enhancing the employee experience.
- Analyze and offer benefits strategies to align with organizational goals and employee needs to create a best in case benefits program.
System Configuration and Management:
- Proven ability to understand human resources system configurations, testing and maintenance of benefits systems to ensure the efficient administration and seamless management of data. Including data integration with vendor systems.
- Collaborate with HRIS and/ or IT to implement system enhancements and troubleshoot issues.
Regulatory and Compliance Adherence:
- Ensure all benefits programs comply with federal, state, and local regulations including ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPPA and other applicable laws.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data and benchmark analysis to inform strategic decisions.
Vendor and Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Partner with broker and benefits vendors in the negotiation of contracts, ensure high-quality service delivery, and resolve escalated issues. Ensure accurate data is maintained in the HR system and well as with vendors.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including HR, Payroll and Finance to align benefits administration with organizational processes.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Develop and maintain metrics to assess the effectiveness of benefits programs- increase participation and educational efforts.
- Provide actional insights and recommendation based on data analysis to inform strategic decisions.
- May perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field. Combined with 8+ years of proven/ progressive experience in benefits administration, with a focus on system configuration and compliance. Experience working with third party administrators: employee advocates (benefits call center), leave of absence administrators, broker, etc.
- Proficiency in configuring and managing benefits modules such as Dayforce (Ceridian), UKG, Workday, Oracle, or SAP.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Excellent presentation and facilitator skills. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable strategies.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across departments and influence stakeholders.
- Detailed knowledge of benefits regulation and compliance requirements (e.g. ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPPA, etc.)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION
- Experience with Dayforce (Ceridian) benefits and reports modules.
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP). World at Work certification in Compensation or Benefits.
- Experience with joint ventures, mergers, and acquisitions
